Scott has 25 years of experience working with dogs in the fields of obedience, conformation showing, scent detection, rodent control and therapy applications. He is a certified pest control technician in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Virginia in general, rodent, right of way and bird control categories and is actively involved with the development of ratting dog techniques and applications in various locations of the United States.
He has served as the Vice President of the Maryland State Pest Control Association and is a former President and Board of Director for the World Detector Dog Organization, a canine scent detection certification association. He is a certified handler for rodent detection on multiple dogs with the National Entomology Scent Detection Canine Association. Scott holds advanced certification in K9 Down, a canine first aid program developed by the North Carolina State Veterinary College for law enforcement, military and working dog handlers as well as an American Red Cross Canine First Aid Instructor.
